Home Cookin 6.46 Released
This minor update fixes several small bugs and adds features users
requested in recent months:
- Display Font - The font used to display recipes, grocery listings, and other text in Home Cookin, now defaults to "Microsoft Sans Serif". This should improve compatibility with various computer setups, and there are alternate choices if that font is not installed. You can also select your own font and size on the Options screen if the default is not to your liking.
- Ingredient Formatting - Home Cookin automatically reformats recipe ingredients to improve consistency and readability. This update fixes a few problems users recently discovered with the ingredient formatting. If you prefer to see recipes in their natural state, you can now disable the formatting entirely on the Options screen.
- PDF Cookbooks - Several bugs were fixed in the "Save PDF Book" feature that would sometimes cause crashing or weird formatting. The index at the end of the book was changed to two columns (from three) to allow for larger text and less wrapping. The maximum number of pages were increased to 2000. Best of all, PDF cookbooks can now include photos!
- iPhone Grocery Support - If you have an iPhone, you can now export your grocery lists to the "Grocery Gadget" CSV format. Prepare your grocery list in Home Cookin, export your list to an external file, then log on to the Grocery Gadget web portal and import your grocery list. Visit www.grocerygadgets.com for more information on the Grocery Gadget iPhone app.
